Ed McDaries
VP of Sales and Business Development, Checon, LLC
Ed "Mac" McDaries came on board as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for the Checon team at the close of 2022. His primary responsibilities include leading the industrial products sales team in partnership with Todd Morvillo and the Morvillo Precision Products organization. Ed oversees sales, strategic accounts, and service programs, focusing on relationship management and market growth and ensuring that the sales quotation, response, and funnel systems continuously improve.
Before joining Checon and the Alloy Holdings partner group, Ed was VP of Internal Sellers at Herff Jones, responsible for new product roll-out programs and managing the strategic accounts teams. Prior to this, Ed held sales and business development roles at PEAK6 and Pfizer.
"I love the highs and lows of motivating others in the way they need it," Ed says. "Connecting with my customers, team, and leaders personally makes business and life enjoyable and meaningful," he adds.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Campbell University and is a proud veteran. He resides in North Carolina with his wife, Melinda. Together, they enjoy great food, their five French bulldogs, and getting to the gym as often as their schedules permit. Ed has two children from a previous marriage and three grandchildren.
